Camphill Community Mountshannon policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines are developed with reference to the mission, the ethos, the values and the vision of Camphill Community Mountshannon, the legal obligations of the organisation combined with registration requirements and the quality standards set out in HIQA’s National Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities (2013).Children and Adults with Disabilities (2013). These form an existing  framework for the measures and protocols stated in this policy and  act as a base of the Social Care work of the centre, and includes  the Interim Guidance on Infection, Prevention and Control for the HSE (2020); National Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities (2013); Service Continuity in a COVID 19 environment, A Strategic Framework for delivery (HSE, 8th June 2020); Revised National Standards for the Prevention and Control of the Healthcare -Associated infections in acute healthcare services(HIQA, 2017); National Standards for the Prevention and Control of the Healthcare -Associated infections (HIQA, 2009); Infection Prevention and Control and preparedness for COVID 19 in healthcare setting, 5th update, (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, Stockholm,  6th October 2020);Health Act 2007 (care and support of residents in designated centres for persons (children and adults) with disabilities) regulations 2013 S.I.
